The Battle of Gergovia 52 BC — Gergovia was a rare and serious battlefield setback for Julius Caesar during the Gallic Revolt of 52 BC.

History behind the design

Vercingetorix and the Gallic defenders held the strong hilltop position while a Roman assault broke down. Caesar withdrew, and the defeat became one of the most important moments before Alesia.
