The Battle of Crécy 1346 — Crécy, fought on 26 August 1346, was one of the defining English victories of the Hundred Years' War.
History behind the design
Edward III's army defeated the French host of Philip VI. English and Welsh archers were crucial, but the victory also depended on position, discipline, command and the failure of repeated French attacks.
